Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) has been considered a serious global threat, the objectives of our study were the following: (i) to describe the prevalence of clinical CRE isolates, (ii) to identify the mechanisms and clonal relatedness among these CRE strains, (iii) to examine the genetic context of IMP-4.
